CAF names referees for interclub preliminary ties

Ahead of Ngezi Platinum’s maiden appearance in Confederation of African Football (CAF) organised interclub tournaments and Caps United’s return to the African Champions League, CAF has released the names of match officials to handle the preliminary round games.

Namibian referee, Jackson Pavasa will handle Caps United’s first leg of the CAF Champions League encounter against Lioli of Lesotho on 11 February at the Sesotho stadium in Maseru.

Pavasa will be assisted by three of his country man, Matheus Kanyanga, David Tauhulupo Shaanika and Jonas Shongedi in the preliminary round match.

Batswana match officials, Tirelo Mositwane, Kitso Madondo Sibanda, Mogomotsi Morakile and Omphile Phuthego will handle the second leg set to be played between 17 and 19 February at the National Sports Stadium.

Ishmael Chizinga, Clemence Kanduku and Jonizio Luwizi, all from Malawi, have been appointed to handle Ngezi Platinum’s CAF confederations preliminary round second leg tie at Baobab stadium against Mauritius’ Pamplemousses on 18 February alongside Botswana’s Joshua Bondo and Thabo Timothy Pule of Lesotho.
