The Mighty Warriors have been drawn in Group C for the 2019 edition of the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations Women’s Championship to be played in South Africa from 31 July to 11 August.
The 2017 finalists were drawn alongside Mozambique, Angola & eSwatini.
Twelve teams pooled into three groups of four will take part in the biggest women’s football tournament on the continent.
Zimbabwe will be hoping to improve from a group stage elimination in 2018.
The draw for the inaugural Under-20 COSAFA Women’s Championship was also conducted at the same event and we were drawn in Group A with hosts South Africa, Namibia & Malawi.
Only eight teams will participate at the first ever regional junior tournament, seven from the COSAFA region plus Tanzania, a guest from East Africa.
