The Zimbabwe Football Association technical directorate will conduct level one coaching course for members of the Sports Journalists Association from the 3rd to the 9th of march.
There are also some former footballers who will be part of the week-long course which will be held at Oriel Boys High school in Harare.
ZIFA Technical Director, Wilson Mutekede hailed the sports journalists’ attitude towards learning about intricate details about coaching.
“As an association we are ready to assist every stakeholder who values coach education in order to acquire technical knowledge and skills.
“It is remarkable that journalists have also chosen to embrace coach education, which will certainly enhance the quality of interactions between coaches and journalists,” Mutekede said.
Mutekede and Oscar Mazhambe will instruct the twenty-seven participants who have confirmed interest so far.
There are several journalists in the country who have acquired coaching badges; CAF A licence holder, Spencer Banda being among the most qualified.
