Under-23 AFCON qualifiers postponed

Dates for third round Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers have been pushed back. The back to back home and away fixtures between Zimbabwe and South Africa which were initially set for 3 to 11 June will now be played during the September international break running from the 2nd to the 10th.

The Young Warriors were exempted from playing the first round and went on to eliminate Mozambique on a 2-nil aggregate win in March.

The clash against South Africa will be the final round for the finals to be played in Egypt. The previous time when the two nations met at this level Zimbabwe were eliminated after drawing 1-1 at home and losing 3-0 away.
