The contingent of local based Warriors and officials has departed for Djibouti where they will play Somalia in a World Cup qualifier on 5 September 2019.
The team left Robert Mugabe International Airport late this afternoon and they will meet foreign based players in Djibouti in the evening on 4 September.
Two changes were made to the provisional squad announced by head coach Joseph Antipas following the withdrawal of Tinotenda Kadewere and Khama Billiat.
Sipho Ndlovu of Chicken Inn and Knox Mutizwa were roped in to replace the two.
The first leg of the Preliminary round qualifier against Somalia kicks off at 1700 hours Zimbabwean time and the second leg will be on at Barbourfields on 8 September.
Assistant coach Tonderai Ndiraya will not travel with the senior team for this assignment because he has to lead the Under-23 in an Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier against South Africa away on 6 September and at home on 10 September.
