Young Mighty Warriors through to CWC semis

Identical four nil wins in successive group matches over Mozambique and Namibia secured Zimbabwe a place in the semi finals of the Inaugural Under-20 COSAFA Women’s Championship.

The girls scored four first-half goals to set up a tie with either Tanzania or Zambia who will play each other on 6 August in a group B decider.

Dinah Banda netted a brace while Praynence Zvawanda and Talent Bizeki scored once each.

Semi finals are scheduled for 8 August and we will play in the early kick off at 10 am while the other will take place at 2pm.

Both Tanzania and Zambia have already qualified for the semifinals having won their matches against ESwatini and Botswana.

South Africa qualified ahead of us with a 100% record though they laboured against Mozambique in their final group game.
