THE Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) president Dr Phillip Chiyangwa, board members, the national secretariat and the general assembly has learnt with deep sorrow, grief and sadness on the passing on of veteran sports journalist Paul Saul Mundandi.
He was a journalist of note, and no one can talk about football in Zvishavane and indeed the Midlands, without mentioning Paul. He covered football from grassroots level to the Premier Soccer League and the National Team with aplomb, in short he was made for the profession.
He wrote many a story for The Herald, Chronicle, Sunday Mail and Sunday News as he traversed the breath and length of the Midlands to give the nation the story first hand.
We are in deep mourning, to say the least, and we ask just how and why?
To the Mundandi family, we are certainly with you during these difficult moments and please take heart he is safe in the arms of the everloving God. To the media fratenity, in particular the Zimpapers stable, we are sorry for this untimely loss.
May His Deares Soul Rest in Eternal Peace
